Preparing for boarding
What to pack for Doggy Hotel, what to leave at home, and feeding instructions.
Doggy Hotel is an overnight stay in my home — not a kennel, not a facility. Your dog gets a comfortable sleeping space, meals on schedule, and supervised care around the clock.
What to bring
- Food portioned per day, clearly labeled with your dog's name.
- Leash for drop-off and pick-up.
- Any medications with written dosing instructions.
- One comfort item is welcome — a favorite small toy or blanket.
What NOT to bring
- Large dog beds — I have comfortable sleeping spaces set up.
- Expensive items you wouldn't want chewed or lost.
- Rawhide or treats I haven't approved (some dogs have sensitive stomachs).
Bring written feeding instructions if your dog has any special schedule — half cup twice a day, wet food only, no chicken, whatever it is. A sticky note on the food bag works perfectly.
